Landsea R&D Campus in Changxing/Zhejiang province

Green Building Design for building physics testing facilities

The 3500 m2 R&D building is part of the Landsea R&D Campus in Changxing/Zhejiang province, which aims to be a platform for collaboration in the area of Green Building within China and internationally. The R&D building provides various testing facilities for building physics. A key design concept was the optimization of natural ventilation and daylight. The design of this building was done by MUDI following their competition-winning concept. Specialist advice on the scientific research requirements has been provided by the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics in Germany. The project was completed in 2014.
