The Fraunhofer Building Innovation Alliance

The Fraunhofer Building Innovation Alliance pools the construction-related resources and expertise of 15 Fraunhofer research institutes. The highly efficient research association was established with the aim of developing application-oriented system solutions in collaboration with industry in order to surmount the new challenges facing the building industry.

DGNB

The DGNB is the central knowledge platform for sustainable building. To promote sustainable building, the non-profit organization has established a certification system for the assessment of buildings and districts with a particular focus on environmental impact, use of resources, efficiency and user comfort: the DGNB certificate.

The DGNB is market leader in Germany and has around 1,200 member organizations from all areas of the construction and real estate industry. A network of partner organizations across many countries helps to adapt and implement the certification system at an international level.

SBA

SBA is a leading international architectural and urban planning studio with extensive know-how in Sustainable Architecture, for example in the areas of commercial and office buildings, hospitals and social housing as well as buildings for education and research.  Further know-how lies on urban design and –development, with focus on Smart and Green Cities. The company is part of research projects like “Future cities” of the Fraunhofer Society.
