Fraunhofer Building Innovation AllianceThe Qingdao Sino-German Eco-park is the first regional cooperation project with European countries on the basis of collaboration between the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and the German Ministry of Economics and Technology. Entrusted by the client, SBA provides sustainable and smart urban management schemes in terms of park road traffic, municipal supporting facilities and landscape environment etc. In addition we prepare practical problem-solving solutions regarding the park main roads, the landscape nodes, the architecture etc.
For that purpose SBA organizes a trans-disciplinary comprehensive team, consisting of experts in regard to road traffic, energy, municipal, water resource, urban planning, architecture, landscape and industrial study. Through the development of a scientific data model, energy demand, road traffic condition and environmental quality of different functional blocks in the park were analyzed and by learning from German experiences the efficiency and functionality of the building were optimized.
Furthermore a high-quality office building with additional functions and integration into the natural preserve Sino-German style should be developed. The architecture should be significant yet well integrated and connected to the natural surrounding. With the natural designed courtyard or the rainwater absorbing roof garden, the building adapts into the undulating landscape. By integrating daylight, wind and the natural environment in every detail, the architecture creates a connection from inside to outside as well as a comfortable indoor climate and a sense of well-being in every room.
