Fraunhofer Building Innovation AllianceThe project is located in the outside ring of Shanghai north-east area and in the east of Zhangjiang Science and Technology City. Different from the traditional biological medicine industry park, the scheme plan is based on an industrial scientific town and is characterized by a friendly dynamic atmosphere and a strong sense of belonging. It describes a town with enterprises, elite and ecology by various office goods, perfect-matching services and a high-quality surrounding. The planning and the design were made from a town operator’s perspective and focused on regional overall management and long-term development. For the sake of attracting the elite, the plan provides the integrated and perfect-matching services. Due to the low population density of this town the project adopts the most flexible and economical construction mode in order to meet the various functional needs. The town set the South-East and the North-South direction green axis as their main road. It will strengthen the feeling of belonging and identity by creating small open spaces and diverse cultural facilities.
The concept integrates an energy system for the park applying decentralized energy centers (BHKW). They provide electrical and thermal energy to the users. Also renewable energies in form of wind power plants are included.
