Integrated City Energy Concept

Renewable energy in China's pilot cities

In the scope of the program "Sino-German Cooperation on Renewable Energies (CoRE)" Fraunhofer experts provide capacity-building and scientific advice. Integrated city energy concepts with action plans will be developed exemplarily for the three pilot cities Xintai in Shandong province, Dunhuang in Ganzu province and the Xiuzhou district in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province. Overall objectives of the project include the roll out of planning methods for the transformation of municipal energy systems in China, practically relevant know-how transfer from Germany to China and, in particular, supporting the development of renewable energy in China.
