Better Building – Better Life: Fraunhofer’s Pavilion at FENESTRATION BAU CHINA

Fraunhofer Building Innovation Alliance, carrier and initiator of new and innovative developments in the field of construction research, will be present for the fifth time at this year’s FENESTRATION BAU China, Asia’s leading building fair.

Taking place at Beijing’s New China International Exhibition Center (NCIEC), from October 31^st to November 3^rd of 2018, this event will focus on innovative products, technologies and practical solutions in the fenestration industry and its related businesses, serving as a platform for business cooperation and information exchanges. It is an annual fair, alternating between Shanghai and Beijing.

In keeping with our slogan "Better Building – Better Life", four core topics will be covered at the Fraunhofer Pavilion: "Digital Transformation in Construction Processes", "Urban Eco Development", "Smart Building Components" and "Building Materials from Renewable Sources and Recycled Products”.

At Fraunhofer Building Innovation Alliance, we will be featuring some of our prime industrial and academic partners such as OBERMEYER Engineering Consulting and SBA Städtebau Architektur, sun shading solutions expert WAREMA, and Active House International.

Hand in hand with our co-exhibitors, we will be offering diversified live presentations and fascinating expert talks on a daily basis, as well as expositions of architecture models, city development sketches, innovative façade mock-ups and samples of novel building materials. Moreover, virtual reality and augmented reality devices will deliver an insight into our digital twin concept of modern building operation.

A further highlight will be the presentation of the most recently initiated Fraunhofer Project Center for Urban Eco Development at SJTC Shanghai JiaoTong University, a shared research platform to serve the needs of the Chinese urbanization development process.
